Story
Hi there,
I have decided to go on an adventure with Interplast.
I will be joining Turia Pitt for her Mount Everest Base Camp Trek in May 2017.
In doing so I aim to raise $5000 for Interplast as they continue to provide free surgical teatment and healthcare to children and familes in some of the world’s poorest countries.
With our support, Interplast's teams of volunteer plastic and reconstructive surgeons, anaesthetists, nurses and allied health professionals can continue to provide free surgical treatment to patients living with treatable disabilities such as cleft lip and palate, burn scars and severe hand injuries. The funds I raise as part of this adventure will also enable Interplast to train the next generation of surgical leaders in the countries in which they work. Through education, training and mentoring programs we empower local medical personnel to perform life-saving procedures independently.
The trek to Mount Everest Base Camp will be mentally and physically challenging but I am confident that I will enjoy every minute. I extremely excited and very greatful to my both my husband and family for their support.
